Genjutsu for Reels makes the whole short for you.

Genjutsu for Reels is a Higgsfield tool that makes a whole vertical video from a short you like, a character and a topic. Below are the steps on the website and in Claude, the two shorts I made with it, and Higgsfield's own checklist for before you post one.

Everything from this video

What it is, and what I made with it.

This one is a paid partnership. Higgsfield paid me to make the video, and the button on this page is my own referral link.

Genjutsu for Reels is a Higgsfield tool that makes vertical 9:16 videos with a presenter. You add a character, give it a topic, and can add a video whose motion it copies.

It writes the script for you from a topic, a hook or a few key points. A short runs anywhere from 10 seconds to 2 minutes.

In my video I gave it my ArtCraft video as the reference and a brand new script about a free Fusion 360 alternative. Both of my results are further down.

Who it's for

Short videos without an editor.

A lot of creators pay for Premiere and After Effects only to edit short videos. That's the part this tool takes over. You never open a timeline, you pick the inputs and Higgsfield makes the finished short.

It also suits a series. The same presenter can come back in every short, so every video keeps one face and one voice.

How it works

Five steps on the Higgsfield website.

  1. 1

    Pick a reference

Start from a short that already did well, yours or a popular one, and it repeats that short's motion and style. The clip has to run between 10 and 120 seconds, so trim it first if it's longer.

  2. 2

    Add a character

Upload a photo of yourself or pick one of their characters. Characters, products and clothing can come from your uploads, AI Influencer, earlier generations or your liked items, up to 38 in all.

  3. 3

    Choose a voice

Pick one of the male or female voices, select Custom, or let Auto generate make a voice that fits the character you added.

  4. 4

    Describe the script

Write what the short should cover, whether that's a topic, a hook or a few key points. Press Continue and Higgsfield writes the script.

  5. 5

    Pick quality, then generate

Basic is faster and cheaper at medium quality, and High looks better for more. The cost shows on the Generate button before anything is made, and it grows with the length of the video.

My two results

One from my own video, one from a template. Sound on.

  1. From my own video

My ArtCraft video as the style

I gave it my ArtCraft video as the reference and a new script about a free Fusion 360 alternative. It's the same style with a completely new script.

Made with Genjutsu for Reels from my ArtCraft video.
  2. From a template

    One of their templates

You can also start from one of their templates and give it any script. This one reads a short script about the free rebuild of Microsoft Office.

Made with Genjutsu for Reels from a template.

Use it inside Claude

The same tool, from a chat.

  1. 1

    Add the connector

In Claude, add Higgsfield as a custom connector with this address. It works on claude.ai and in Claude Desktop, and Claude's Free plan allows one custom connector.

    https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp
  2. 2

A Higgsfield window opens. Sign in to your account and allow access. No API key is needed.

  3. 3

    Ask for the plan first

Ask Claude to show the plan and wait for your approval before each generation. Every generation through the connector uses credits from your plan.

Before you post one

Higgsfield's own checklist, in plain words.

The face stays the same
The presenter's face should look the same from the first second to the last.
Products keep their look
A product should keep its shape, colour and label while it moves.
The words match
What the presenter says should match the script and fit the length you picked.
Motion looks natural
Motion copied from your reference should look natural on the new character.
Faces stay off the edges
Keep the face and any product away from the edges of the frame, where captions and app buttons sit.
You have the rights
Every character, photo and clip needs cleared rights, the reference clip too, and a real person's face needs their permission.
